Chris Giblin
Senior Vice President, Ogilvy Government Relations
Chris Giblin joined Ogilvy Government Relations from the office of Congressman John Carter
(R-TX), whom he served as chief of staff. During his time with Rep. Carter, he oversaw the Congressman’s re-election to the House Republican Steering
Committee and election to the prestigious House Appropriations Committee.
Additionally, Mr. Giblin spearheaded Congressman Carter’s efforts as a national chairman for the House GOP’s
get out-the-vote program and helped secure passage of national identity theft legislation.
Mr. Giblin’s prior Capitol Hill experience includes stints as legislative director for Congressman Charlie Norwood
(R-GA) and as a legislative assistant for Congressman Jack Fields (R-TX), both members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. In these
roles, he handled energy, environment, telecommunications and healthcare issues. Before government service, Mr. Giblin worked in the private
sector, serving in the Washington office of Texas-based Reliant Energy. His efforts in this role focused mainly in crisis management related
to the California electricity crisis of 2000.
A native of Washington, DC, Mr. Giblin received a BA in Journalism from Washington and Lee University.
