Chris Lamond
Senior Vice President, Ogilvy Government Relations
Chris Lamond brings significant experience in developing, implementing and managing government relations strategies to Ogilvy Government Relations, with a strong focus on securing federal appropriations for not-for-profits. With more than nine years of experience working
with the federal government, Mr. Lamond joined Ogilvy Government Relations from Cassidy & Associates, a public affairs firm, where he served for
five years as Senior Vice President.
In the private sector, Mr. Lamond has gained experience working on a wide
variety of issues before the federal government on behalf of corporations and
not-for-profit entities.
Mr. Lamond’s government experience includes working for U.S. Senator Fred Thompson (R-TN) and the U.S. Senate Committee on Governmental
Affairs. Mr. Lamond joined Senator Thompson in 1994 and served on the Senator’s personal staff in a number of legislative roles before
moving to the Committee on Governmental Affairs when Senator Thompson became committee chairman in 1997.
Mr. Lamond received a B.A. in Political Science from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.
