Who We Are
Andrew M. Rosenberg
Senior Vice President, Ogilvy Government Relations
Andy Rosenberg brings over 15 years of experience as a lobbyist, Capitol Hill staffer and former congressional candidate
to Ogilvy Government Relations, which he joined in early 2006. Mr. Rosenberg has counseled a wide range of corporations, trade associations and non-profits
on strategic matters involving public policy and election law.
In March 2002, Influence Magazine named Mr. Rosenberg to its list of Washington's top "up and coming" lobbyists. Mr. Rosenberg was a co-founder and Senior Advisor to Draft Obama, the leading national pro-Obama grassroots organization prior to the Senator's announcement of candidacy. He has also been an election law consultant to the Democratic National Committee, a surrogate for the Kerry-Edwards campaign on health care and Middle East policy issues, and was a regional coordinator for the DNC's Voter Protection Initiative in the pivotal Philadelphia suburban region during the 2004 presidential campaign. In Washington, Mr. Rosenberg is perhaps best known for the spirited campaign he conducted for the United States Congress from Northern Virginia's 8th District in 2004, losing a tight battle to a controversial incumbent in a closely watched and highly charged race.
Prior to entering the private sector, Mr. Rosenberg spent several years working on Capitol Hill on the committee (Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions) and personal staffs of Senator Edward M. Kennedy (D-MA). As a legislative assistant, he advised the senator on matters pertaining to federal housing policy, agriculture, veterans and American Indians. Mr. Rosenberg has also worked at the National Trust for Historic Preservation where he helped design a grassroots political campaign to promote a national pro-preservation agenda.
Mr. Rosenberg is an occasional political commentator on Fox News Channel, and locally was featured prominently in the written press, television and radio during his congressional campaign in 2004.
Mr. Rosenberg received his bachelors of arts in History and Russian Studies at Amherst College, and obtained his masters degree in Urban and Environmental Planning, as well as his law degree, at the University of Virginia. Mr. Rosenberg also serves on the Board of the Alexandria, Virginia Chapter of the American Red Cross, occasionally lectures at the American University, and is active with numerous local charities.
