Ogilvy has hired Bud Albright

The firm Ogilvy Government Relations has hired Washington veteran Bud Albright, the firm tells PI. Albright is a veteran in the energy space, and has done stints as Undersecretary of the Department of Energy and former staff director of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. He’s also been deputy general counsel at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, deputy associate attorney general at the Department of Justice, and an assistant United States attorney. “Bud brings a unique mix of strategic vision, political experience and policy expertise across many industries to our team,” said Ogilvy Principal Chris Giblin. “He has held senior positions within three Republican administrations, as well as leading government affairs efforts for two corporations and a trade association; his experience and insights will be invaluable to our clients.” Albright joins Ogilvy from the Washington office of CenterPoint Energy, where he served as senior vice president for policy and government relations. He’s also worked at Reliant Energy and the Mortgage Bankers Association.
